Just installed this hinge today and super happy. I have to wait on the silicone to cure so I haven't connected the wire and turned it on yet. Regardless, the hinge itself is topnotch and a godsend solution to Glowforge's design flaw. Shipping and delivery was quick. I ordered on a Saturday night and received it on Wednesday so hurried to get this puppy installed to get a review in ASAP. The provided instructions were great and there is also a YoutTube vid from someone that helped.

Truly saved my machine. It’s a much better and full contact replacement part. I have a kickstarter version of the pro glowforge, and the adhesive is just failing at this point in its life. Alignment is a bit fiddly, but with patience it had a great outcome.
