    Magellan 200

Great for the hiker or hunter easy to navigate with this. Put good or rechargeable batteries in it. They eat them up fast. Great value for the price.

  • Magellan gets me to the cache

I bought the Magellan unit solely to go geocaching though it can help me remember a hot fishing spot if I need it to. I like the color screen, that the GPS is waterproof, seems very accurate and feels durable. The "belly button" navigation can get a bit tedious but is less so the more I use the GPS and get familiar with the menus. The only thing I wish is that the directions included a step-by-step example of how to use it, such as entering geocache coordinates and then how to go about finding that geocache. The manual only described the buttons, not the process of using the unit. I spent a frustrating day trying to get started. I wonder what the unit can do that I don't know to access because of poor directions. Now though, after taking it on a trip to another state, I feel more confident ...

  • lot of bang for the buck with lil extra to buy ... great unit

not a bad unit for the price and has lots of features not sure about battery life yet i havent had much of a chance to play with it .. user interface is good although im having a problem setting the time but then again ive not played with it very much yet could just be me ... screen is decent and size weight comparison is good seems to be pretty accurate .. over all it is a great unit for under 50.00 dollars but it has no sd card and u have to buy a cable seperatlyto hook it up to computer 10.oo is not bad but it should have come with the unit as far as im concerned. im sure that the other high end units r much easier and have more bells and whistles but i dont need that so this un it works great for me plus its a color screen .. i hate monochrome and b&w screens

  • Magellan Triton 200 Handheld GPS

What I like? This item has exactly what you need to geocache and hike with so bear in mind that is exactly what it was intended to be used for. I see many reviews that put this unit down. It's accuracy is superb and better than what I expected for the price which is an A+ for this unit. The Vantage Point Software allows you to send geocaches/waypoints to the Triton with ease via USB cable sold seperately which technically should be included with the unit being it don't have an SD card slot. Oh well, once again...remember the price and don't complain. It's a cool unit which is small and portable. Once you learn all the keystrokes and map out the systems functionality you are good to go. Make sure you order the USB cable! Update the firmware and you are good to go.

  • Triton 200 is a good value

I use the Tritin 200 for hikeing and prospecting. When I pick up a rock sample, I record its location so there is no doubt about where it came from. The unit has many nice features, but i'm still learning. Nice clear screen. It seems a little hard on batteries, but should last at least 2 hours on a set. Great value for the money.
