About this product

Product Information

A standalone expansion to 2006's supernatural shooter, F.E.A.R. Files on Xbox 360 is a compilation of F.E.A.R.: Perseus Mandate and F.E.A.R. Extraction Point, both previously released on PC. Extraction Point begins where the original game ended. The Origin Facility's massive explosion has leveled Auburn and your escape chopper. Your new mission is to reach an extraction point located on the roof of Auburn Hospital, where you'll be reunited with survivors of the F.E.A.R. team. Three new weapons to master include a mini-gun, laser, and a deployable turret.

F.E.A.R.: Perseus Mandate takes place during the same time frame as the original F.E.A.R., but with a new team to control. Players are sent to investigate the top-secret Perseus Project developed by the Armacham Technology Corporation. New AI-controlled teammates, three additional weapons, and a new enemy faction, highly skilled mercenaries called Nightcrawlers, make their F.E.A.R. debut. F.E.A.R. Files also features 16-player online support via Xbox Live, allowing fans to experience the new maps and weapons introduced in the expansions. The popular "Instant Action Mode" also returns from the original F.E.A.R.

  • Buy the pc version unless you are a true fan, this one is watered down.

I like these games very much on computer. The port to 360 could have been better. For one, all the subtitles have been cut. WHY?! It is so blatantly stupid for a game like this with a load of in-game dialogue. The subtitles were already done, all you people had to do was rip them from the pc version! That really bothers me. Another issue is that you cannot program the control. I buy the game on console to use the controller, but the controller is nowhere near the way I would like it. Choose from what the programmers give you, don't complain, right? Other than those two things, which ruined most of the shine for me 15 minutes out of the gate, the graphics look nowhere near as good as they do on my Nvidia, almost like they belong on playstation 2, as opposed to the smooth look when the ...

  • F.E.A.R. Files (Xbox 360)

Gameplay: 7.5 Without pushing the game into new territory, the game simply adds more of the same action laced with creepy supernatural moments. The two campaigns are actually enjoyable and you can always jump into the shooting acting with Instant Action mode. There’s online multiplayer when you’re done zipping through the expansions. Graphics: 7.0 Graphically, both expansions aren’t particularly Xbox 360 gorgeous. In fact, the game still resembles a really amazing-looking original Xbox game. The character models just don’t scream next-generation and the various corridors still look pretty dull. At least the explosions and gunfire look decent. Sound: 8.0 The soundtrack is still pretty dramatic and it works within the context of the game’s action-horror theme. The voice acting is just Ok, ...

  • F.E.A.R. Files for the XBox 360

The game does deliver the action but doesn't really explain much of the story about Alma and the protagonist that you play as, still it does deliver the scares that gets you in the 1st game. Some parts of the game looks low-rez and some parts aren't, you really wouldn't notice them unless you give a good look of your surroundings, in all regardless of these small flaws I still love the game and still play it over and over just for the scares and action, just wait for the next game 'Project Origins' coming sometime this end year to get all your questions answered.

  • Great Game!

I own this game on the PC, but my desktop barely plays it, and when it want's to play it, it looks like crap. So I decided to buy it on Xbox 360, It's a great game though, and I own the original Fear on PS3 since my desktop doesn't really like that one either, I've always been a Fear game fan since the first game, and if this is true for anyone else you will love this game. Positives: Great Graphics, Bloody, and Violent, Extremely scary, can be difficult Negatives: Not out on PS3
