When I plugged it into the wall it made a popping sound and began smoking so I am sure the seller has sold some faulty parts. At any rate it was packaged very well and it arrived fast . The manufacturer of the item is at fault. I suppose I'm just going to be out what I paid for it . Not good to buy electric devices on eBay I suppose

Seller DID respond fast, offering parts from an out-of-box unit. But it appears it is a board issue, stopping the 2nd half of driver circuitry from working. I requested a full replacement if I paid shipping, but didn't get a response. I waited a day then submitted a return request... but ebay just immediately refunded in full!? So, I still have NO working "vintage" printer :( but not risking it again.
