      Expensive fix for the FS40

      The piece really doesn't fit the Stihl FS40 because of wrong thread size. You have to take the nut out of old knob to replace the one in this one because of incorrect threads. So, really purchasing a plastic for almost $10.

      Didn't fit my 2019 FS40 without swapping the nut.

      I bought this bump knob for my 2019 Stihl FS40 weed eater. I read the reviews before ordering. Some people had no trouble. While others had to change the nut in the center to make it work. When mine came, I quickly learned the nut was too large and did not match the threads on the shaft. I too had to swap the nut from my old knob to the new knob to make it work.

      Make sure it's the one you need.

      Before ordering, make sure this is the one you need due to Stihl's having several different string heads. This one does not fit them all.
