A seriously flawed lens hood, despite its attractive price.
Whlle the lens hood bayonets properly on my 18-55mm WR lens and has the little portal for adjusting a polarizer, it DOES NOT bayonet in reversed position to the lens as does the Pentax original! This makes it vulnerable to loss when mounted on the lens when the camera is carried on a neck strap or a sling, which is what I use. Additionally being unable to stow the hood reversed on the lens makes it one more item to keep track of in the field. Needed for WR lens
It is well built and doesn't fall off the camera like Chinese copies. The PH-RCB 52 is necessary for the weather resistant version of the Pentax 18-55mm lens. The old hood will not fit properly.
