    Just want I needed for backup!

    I am using this for backup in usb adapter for my desktop. It took about 2 hrs. to format and this was due to the low speed- 5400 rpm. Very quit and small, yet very large capacity. I have had trouble with the higher speed hard drives and I think this one will do the job. The total cost including usb adapter and this hard drive, $40.00. I ran a diagnostic when formating and it passed with flying colors. For sure, no one can wipe out your data,if you use this & then take it with you. Any negative would be it's low speed, which is probably better on the hard drive's life span.
