Avatar: The Last Air Bender (PS2)
This is a fun, and fairly easy game. Like an easier version of Diablo with regards to the feel of fighting, and inventory management. Being familiar with the Avatar series is a big plus for enjoying this game.

Good, but not great
I haven't beaten the game yet, but so far it is moderately stimulating. The battle system isn't as wonky as I was expecting from a Nickelodeon game. The graphics, even with the cell-shading style, leave something to be desired. Characters appear to be blocky, though not atrociously so. There are a sufficient number of moves for each character that help the battles stay fresh. Enemy AI isn't exactly stellar, so battles can be easy at times. I was hoping for a re-imagined intro movie, circa the Budokai series, but they just used the show's opening. It's a little annoying that the character dialogs and the captions almost never correspond, and some of the phrases uttered by the main characters get old fast, though they can be triggered at rather humorous times. Learning curve is almost nonexistent, though you have to be wary of your team's health and the last time you saved (which takes an absurdly long time to do) or else you could accidentally have to redo an entire level. Items drops are randomized, too. All in all, I was impressed at the above-average quality for a game based on a "kid's" show. Perhaps the upcoming live action movies will invigorate interest in this series and we'll see something even better emerge.

The graphics are are pretty good and the overall gameplay value is good. The story is an original one seperate from the animated series but the voice actors remain the same. The game gets a little repedative the further you go and it is a little easy for experianced game players. The setting of the game takes place after the first season, and you get to controll Aang, Katara, Soka, and Haru on missions to Omashu and other places. Anyone who liked the series should enjoy the game also.The graphics are are pretty good and the overall gameplay value is good. This is something my son has been wanting so he saw it on ebay and asked me to buy it. And I did. So for he has played the game and is enjoying it very much. I love ebay and they make is so easy to purschase things with them. Like I said even my 9 year old son can look things up and let me know if there is something on there that is a good price and somthing that he has been waiting for.
