This follow-up to 1997's WCW vs. NWO: World Tour features 62 wrestling stars, including such notables as Hollywood Hulk Hogan, Diamond Dallas Page, Giant, and Sting. The action is once again played from a third-person perspective as players use a combination of strong and weak grapples, punches, kicks, and context-specific moves to wear down their opponent. Performing successful attacks, counters, and taunts will gradually fill a wrestler's spirit meter located in the corner of the screen. Once the meter is at full strength, wrestlers will gain momentum and can perform one of five powerful special attacks. Spirit can be lost, however, by receiving damage, spending too much time outside the ring, and losing the crowd's favor. If the meter reaches a danger level, opponents have a better chance of countering and pinning wrestlers. Five modes of play include Championship, Single Exhibition, Tag Exhibition, Handicap, and Battle Royal. Players will also be able to edit a wrestler's costume and compete in the following six venues: Monday Nitro, Souled Out, Super Brawl, Bash at the Beach, Halloween Havoc, and Starrcade.

Classic N64 title
This game along with WCW/NWO World Tour, WWF WrestleMania 2000, WWF No Mercy and Def Jam Vendetta for the PS2 are all very similar and use the same game engine. This title is very fun and It's a real blast to pickup and play. There's a ton of characters, each with different move-sets and specialities. I really enjoyed revisiting this title 👍.

Remember WCW vs. NWO: World Tour, THQ's last Nintendo 64 wrestling game? Revenge builds on the previous game but makes most of the same mistakes. The result is a good wrestling game that should have been so much better. The World Tour engine has been carried over to Revenge, so the gameplay is identical. The main difference here is the graphics. The characters look and animate very well, and the wrestlers' faces look really accurate. There are a few seams in the polygons here and there, and instances where bodies go through the ropes and such, but it's not a huge deal. All the backgrounds are made up to look like various WCW shows, including Pay-Per-Views like Starrcade, Superbrawl, and Halloween Havoc. The roster is quite possibly the largest roster of licensed wrestlers ... Remember WCW vs. NWO: World Tour, THQ's last Nintendo 64 wrestling game? An edit costume feature lets you make extremely basic changes to all the wrestlers. The gameplay modes include challenges for all of the WCW belts, as well as a battle royal, handicap matches, and exhibition matches. Winning belts unlocks wrestlers like Kidman, Rowdy Roddy Piper, and Curt Hennig. A few of the belt challenges are also locked at the beginning of the game. The actual wrestling itself is mostly timing based. Rather than grapple and pound on buttons for supremacy, he who ties up usually wins. There are a few counters here and there that will allow you to reverse certain moves and strikes. The game has a decent number of moves per wrestler, but it still feels like there just aren't enough variations. The computer's lack of skill in one-on-one matches doesn't really help, either. It does, however, manage to put up a good fight in tag team matches, as well as the battle royal.

One of the best wrestling games of all time before wrestlemania 2000 & no mercy there was revenge if u like the wwf titles you’ll love this so glad to find a new copy

WCW/NWO Revenge (N64) This game is awesome, although I wouldn't recommend this game due to the fact that THQ put out WWF No Mercy for the N64. WCW/NWO Revenge just doesn't offer the outstanding features that WWF No Mercy offers. In my eyes, WCW/NWO Revenge is the 3rd best wrestling game available for the N64.
