  • Why the Radeon HD 4650 is for you

This is one of the last great video cards to support the AGP slot format. I could throw all the hard numbers your way (1GB DDR2 RAM, memory speed 600MHZ, processor speed 600MHZ, 320 processing streams, DirectX 10 support... the list goes on. Here's why you should get one: If you, like me, are in the process of retrofitting an old PC for the purpose of using it as a Media Center, you needn't emphasize the size of your hard drive (just use an external for your media) or the processor speed (it doesn't take much to render even high-def video, not to mention multi-channel audio streams) or even the memory. The video card will make or break your system. If you've got a PC with a motherboard that doesn't support PCI-E (like my Dell Optiplex GX270), you'll be hard-pressed to find a video card ...

  • Works like a dream, its awesome.

For people still stuck on there old Pentium 4's like I am and can't seem to let it go, You will still be limited to the AGP (Accelerated Graphics Port) for Video. The (XFX ATI HD 4650) works extremely well and was far beyond its time when Created for AGP... This Exact Card is also made For PCI-E ports when it cam out as well which is what we use today,, Good speed and runs in HD 1080p with out a glitch. you will be able to play pretty much any game that your actual pc is compatible for. The one thing is, that as amazing as this card is for an AGP compatible Graphics card, you will most likely never be able to experience its full potential, being that it is still limited to its bus, your Processor and Ram you are running. So going with this card for most of you. you really can't get any ...

  • Saved my P4 Agp . Just make sure you get hotfix drivers

I bought this card as a last attempt before I started to build a new machine.I was at a crossroads on what card to buy ATI HD 4670 or HD 4650 or Nvidia 7950gt.The 4650 being the underdog of the other two i was a little worried .This is very compact Quiet-low power Consuming Powerhouse! Half the size of my old 6800gt all and yes 3x the fun. Aquamark 3 score jumped from 66,000 to 89,000 on WinXp sp3.3d Mark 06 went from 1996 to 4764 points. For the people who dont care about all that Number Junk.I can now play Grid at 1600x1200res all high settings with eye candy on very playable frame rates .MY specs are P4 478 3.2EE on Abit IC7-G board 2 gigs of Corsair ProXms dual channel Ram. 500 Watt Cool master,Raid 0 config sata drives. AGP Brought back from the graves! I still got a floppy!!!!

  • XFX Radeon HD 4650 - AGP

What I like: the digital connectivity of the two monitors through a DVI multi pin connector. Speed and clarity of the output. What I dislike: the actual install of the software on a Windows 7 (32 bit) operating sytem. I actually had to have XFX service to assist me in the install. All is working now, and I am still "playing with it".

  • XFX Ati Radeon HD 4650 1GB DDR AGP Video Card

Great bang for the buck on the video adapter, good manufacturing quality, easy installation, it is one of the few cards left that is AGP. only downside is that the card does not operate on the never 11.XX drivers (01, 02, 03), it need to be used in 10.12 Catalyst until AMD decides to fix the AGP drivers.
