A variety of free updates called Seasons are available to continue the storylines in the base game. There are also expansion packs available that add new characters, ships, and factions. Players are given command of their own ships and can be a part of the fleet of their choice by joining the Federation, Klingon, or Romulan factions. Ships can be customized, and players are free to create unique vessels. Uniforms also may be tailored to suit different tastes. “Star Trek” allows players to pool resources to complete missions, an important aspect of online role-playing games. Cooperate with other members of the “Star Trek Online” community by participating in Fleet Actions. In “Star Trek Online,” you choose your allegiance to a faction and create your own captain. There are over 20 species available, including Vulcans, Humans, the Gorn, Andorians, Romulans, the Orion, Remans, Benzites, and Klingons. You can even create your own alien race to play. From there, choose your career path. “Star Trek Online” puts you in the captain’s seat. You can command everything from the Enterprise to a Daedalus Science Vessel to a Romulan Warbird and more. As you lead your crew, you can assign NPC characters to tasks with the Duty Officer System. The customization options are varied and ensure that you'll have hours of gameplay immersed within the “Star Trek" universe.Lastly, true to the mission of the Starship Enterprise, the game allows players to embark on explorations of new star systems and uncharted galaxies. Explore worlds and space stations with detailed digital locations. Meet characters from “The Original Series,” “The Next Generation,” “Deep Space Nine,” “Voyager,” and more. Visit the C-Store to claim exclusive unlocked or purchased in-game content. Purchase ZEN currency in the Z-Store to use within the game.     Star Trek expected is Star trek Recieved

    if you have enjoyed Star trek than you will enjoy the game. if you did not like Star trek than you may not enjoy the game. if you enjoy MMO games than you may enjoy this game but that's up to you. my main issues included not being able to travel to mars or fly around Saturn while i am in the Earth sector just earth and the space station... that's the game- travel to distant star systems light years away, DS9 is about 10 mins away from earth and about 2 to 3 sectors. but when u arrive at a star system ( say Vulcan or Earth, Bajor, Cardassia, Risa...) its only one or 2 planets in the star system to explore and only one to beam down too.( if there is even 2 planetoids in the area) kinda limited in what you can explore i think, considering the federation is all about exploration. but i do ...

    Great game going free to play

    I purchased this before the game went Free-to-Play, but I must say it is well worth the money. If you enjoy the Star trek experience, then this is definitely a game for you to consider trying. Since it goes free on January 17th, 2012... you should have no reason to play and send a message to Valccon during game-play. Travel to different worlds and aid various species in ways you can only imagine. Defend the universe from attacks and make a name for yourself among the many worlds.

    My favorite game of all time!

    Star Trek Online is easily my most favorite game...Ever. The only regret I have is that I didn't start playing when the game came out in 2010. I started playing in August of 2014. Being a huge Star Trek fan, I quickly became immersed and addicted to STO. I have been a gamer for more years than I care to admit. This game is layered with detail, and the combinations are nearly endless. I've wanted to command a starship for many years. Star Trek Online is as close as you can get. Highly recommended. Oh...If you're currently an STO player, you should be very aware of the value that this software affords you. You receive bonuses, plus, you make your money back every month...Plus $1.02!

    Ok game, but lacking in players and exciting content

    When I first got this game, it seemed really neat and it was great to see all of the races and worlds from Star Trek and being able to interact with them. But, after the initial month, I have grown bored with it. The game does regular patches, but nothing truly significant has been added. Along with this is the fact that there are really not that many people playing this game, conidering it is an online game,and it really drags the fun down. I got the game cheap on Ebay, but I would feel extremely ripped-off if I had paid full price for it.
