Fast shipping! One suggestion, please ship collectibles (retro, new, etc.) with cardboard boxes inside shipping boxes. That way they don't get crushed or more damaged than they already are because the original collectible packaging is usually 50% to 80% of the value of the collectible. Luckily this one made it without any additional major damage based on the photos. Thanks!

    Good Router

It has a full feature set in the GUI that is very intuitive . it also has command line for advance configuration. If you are used to Cisco equipment D-link terminology for vlans and vlan trunks on a port is a little confusing. I was able to connect a Linksys Access point with multiple VLans\SSID's to this router.

  • Top critical review

It took several hours, but I got it to work

The used router was in good physical condition. However, over several hours I tried many times, with factory (button) resets, several computers, several adapter settings before I could get to the GUI. It simply would not open. Finally I was able to open the GUI on a Mac using Chrome. Once I upgraded the firmware (two steps), the router began acting normally. I was perhaps naively expecting the router to have been tested before it was sold to be sure one could access the GUI with no problems. I'm disappointed that it was not that easy. If you buy one of these, you might have a similar experience. Try what I described before you give up.

  • Overall OK

It is a reasonably good product. Easy to set up, does the job for me - rather than for business, I am, using it in my house, where I have quite a large network of various devices. It offers fast NAT, allowing the devices to use the full 300mbps speed of my internet connection (previously I was using a consumer-level product with dd-wrt installed on it, and while dd-wrt offered lots of functionality, it was rather slow). It has lots of useful functions including several vpn options - that was important to me as well, as I want to be able to connect to my home network while travelling. The most important annoyances are 1) the local DNS not resolving the dhcp leases, unless these are reserved and specifically defined in the IP name resolution table - there is a limit of 8, 2) the local DNS ...

  • Solid Quality Router

This is a great solid router for the money, it is robust and has many useful features for home or small business, it routes very fast, with all ports being gigabit, a lot better than my old router, plus it has static IP addressing. You also don't loose any speed when you go through it.

  • slow is no show.

slow it is, not gigabit ready , even with VPN turned off . runs about 1/3rd the speed of my EdgeRouter 10x, ER-10x. << buy this ! i blame only myself for not doing full research. this router is 2013 design, is why too old. that is why you find these so cheap, OLD design and old slow processor inside. if you ISP is slow then this is ok, but not for the future which is NOW. good luck buying slow old hardware. even selling it is hard. I kept mine to keep in on a spares shelf boxed up, for an emergency backup. (its only good use, IMO)
