Major League Baseball 2K7 makes its PS3 debut with an emphasis on capturing the sights and sounds of professional baseball, from the player models and animations to the commentary and crowds. Individual faces and body types have been faithfully re-created, with in-game stars sporting the same accessories, batting stances, and home run celebrations as their real-life counterparts. Students of the game can use "Inside Edge" scouting data to their benefit, resulting in a temporary stat boost for players who successfully follow an athlete's particular strengths at the plate or on the mound. <br><br>On the diamond, the defensive AI is designed to automatically adjust positioning and relay throws based on scoring situations or a batter's tendencies. A number of new animations have been incorporated into the defensive game, allowing for fluid strikes, slick dives, and show-stopping grabs. The popular franchise mode from previous iterations continues on PS3, with a team's success tied to ticket prices, attendance numbers, news, and fan hype. Veteran broadcasters Jon Miller and Joe Morgan handle the commentary, and online support is available for head-to-head competition in custom leagues and tournaments.

    MLB 2k7 is a home run!

    What I like: The graphics and game play on the PS3 is by far the best baseball simulation I've ever played. Very smooth pitching, fielding and hitting. The swing stick is easy to pick up and a lot better then EA Sports MVP 2006 College baseball game. The Francise mode is a lot of fun. Unlock your favorite legends from Mickey Mantle to Pete Rose. Fast loading. Easy to use main screen. What I don't like: Sometimes play gets a little slow online. The CPU routinly makes the spectacular over the fense catch to rob home runs. Running the bases takes a bit to catch on to the buttons. Overall this is a great game to pick up if you've played previous MLB games and enjoyed them.

    MLB 2K7

    In this latests installment of Major League Baseball 2K7, the first for next gen platform PS3, you see stunning graphics and fairly good gameplay. Though there are few glitches, mostly by game annoucers, the graphics alone make this game hard to put down. The game presentation is great and the gameplay is fairly simple with the exception of base stealing and throwing out runners from the catcher position can be difficult. The game, though graphically stunning can use a little more of detail apparent to baseball fans like the playful interchange between baserunners and infielders, or the rushing of the mound by angry batters. Overall, the title is fun and addicitive.

    Great Game

    HI, I baought this video game because I love baseball, and I'm a big fan of baseball games. When I saw the graphics, I just had to buy it. Know that I have it, I didn't choose excelent rating because the controllers are a little complicated, it takes a lot of practice to manage well the controllers, but the game is perfect in graphics and is like a simulator, from the parks and the comments of joe morgan and jon miller, it's like seeing a baseball game on espn with full highlights on homeruns and big league plays. I recomend it.

    MLB 2k7 (ps3)

    I had not played a baseball video game in a couple of year so I decided since I just got the my new Ps3, with it being the next gen of gaming in all I would try a baseball game. I have not been disappointed. The game so far has been very fun. It also doesnt hurt to have my Detroit Tigers being one of the best teams in the league. I think it was worth the money spent and it will be even better when my friend gets his so we can play online.

    The Working 07 Title Before 2K Sports Dropped The Ball

    This game got just ok reviews by big online gaming critics biased against the 2K Sports baseball monopoly. And rightfully so. But the graphics here are so amazing that this 07 volume marks the first time in the history of gaming that a console entrant matches the resolution of older classic PC games. Of course, it helps that it's for PS3 and HDTV. Get this while it's still around since the new 08 entrant is such a bomb full of bugs, it won't even sell in bargain bins.
