I have purchased 4 of these barrels with only one slight issue that was promptly corrected. (Getting threads perfect is near impossible hence why I didn’t machine this myself)

I’m very glad that I found this replacement item. Better than the original piece which tend to break easily. The aluminium one I feel is perfect for my use, it doesn’t add much weight when comparing with the original piece. But it should make the pencil last much longer. And seller responds to queries.

It's exactly what it is, a very specific peice of a very specific pencil that fixes a specific problem with the pencil. The pencil itself costs less than this part, but I've had this pencil since highschool and I don't want to get a new one just Because the plastic broke. And this will hopefully mean I won't need a new pencil for years. The only complaint I have is that the width of the tube that slides into the tip of the pencil is slightly too big, didnt let the tip press the gripper in place.
