    Clean sound and lots of features in a small, portable interface.

    I bought the Tascam US-144 mainly for its recording imput, but found it also to be a useful interface for getting a nice clear signal through to my monitor speakers. The large pads are simple to use and can be adjusted on the fly. It has plenty of different imputs (2 mic, 2 line in, headphones, RCA, and more) and has been a charm with Windows 7. Just be sure to update the firmware/drivers from the Tascam site and you'll be ready to start enjoying and recording good music!

    Reasonable value for the money!

    When I was trying to find simple and practical device for playing and recording I checked a few of them. These devices were from the different brands. Finally I chose Tascam US-144 because of the attractive price, very simple interface, performance attributes and actual support. Tascam US-144 includes all functionality I need for my music practice and recording. In comparison with the other similar devices it has USB 2.0. I have downloaded form Tascam's site and installed software without any problems. I enjoy this device.

    I'm very satisfied with the US-144MKii

    I am very saisfied with The US-144MK. it works well and has a very good sound. I still didn't use all its features but I recorded simultaneouslly 3 tracks and the result sounds very good. it is very recommended.

    works like a champ no complaints

    I have owned a few of these and they are always dependable and work with my DAW's whether it's Logic Pro X or Pro tools. I don't need a bigger A/D as I can accomplish what I need to do with a 2 channel A/D. And for the money, they deliver. I'm sure there are better units but this one does what I need it to.

    So far, so good.

    So far it all seems to function fine. The sticky mess that was on the two plastic end pieces resisted every cleaner and solvent I could think of - finally it succumbed to a good scrubbing with denatured alcohol. Was rthat a factory coating that went funky after time?
