Samantha Swift and the Hidden Roses of Athena is an archeological adventure manifest in hidden object searches and inventory puzzles. The game's story follows the title character, Sam, a globe-trotting explorer who also serves as curator for the Secrets Lost Museum. As she moves from one scene to the next, Sam finds her way around trouble by using items she collects and tools she obtains. The story progresses as Sam figures her way out of one tricky situation and into another. The game features more than 700 objects to find in over 50 scenes, set in famous and far-out locations around the world. There are tools available in each level, such as a shovel to dig for missing objects, which can reveal secrets or help overcome obstacles. Thanks to her keen eye, Sam has stumbled upon an amazing discovery, but she is not alone. The greedy treasure-hunter Ravena Stryker seems always just a step behind.

Hidden Puzzle Fun, That's Over Quickly
Bright and clear hand-drawn visuals really elevate this title in the realm of usually dark and dim hidden object puzzle games. The story is simple and doesn't really offer anything new or unexpected, but it helps keep things interesting by moving to new locations all around the world, giving you unusual items to find. Innovative game-play elements such as the "scanner", allows you to see a silhouette of the listed item, this helps to give you an idea of what you're looking if you were unfamiliar with the object or the terminology, without using an actual "hint" to highlight the item's approximate area. The biggest complaint is that the length is only around three hours long and it feels very short compared to other hidden object games like Cate West or Mystery Case Files: The Malgrave ... Bright and clear hand-drawn visuals really elevate this title in the realm of usually dark and dim hidden object puzzle games. The story is simple and doesn't really offer anything new or unexpected, but it helps keep things interesting by moving to new locations all around the world, giving you unusual items to find.
