New design, much better
Not that the previous generation was bad but this one is a huge improvement. It is essentially the same cutting head, but everything else is new and improved. The protective cover is integrated into the power switch in a clever way, the battery compartment is much easier to access, the shape of the whole device is much better. In short, it is a very inexpensive, high quality, disposable, compact electric shaver. Not that the previous generation was bad but this one is a huge improvement. I would recommend it for the ease of use.
This smaller black Remington compact battery operated version is good but I feel the older longer version that was silver in color, cut better but it is no longer available. But overall it still works and I would recommend it for the ease of use.

Good basic travel shaver
Does the trick- especially for travel. I do miss the trimmer. If you try too hard, this will burn your skin. Just a good basic trimmer that requires two AA batts.
