    top quality

    Very well built and balanced. Has counter-weight on opposite side of boom where mic will be. Base is sufficiently heavy. I have bought in the past boom stands. The cheap ones are 2 for the price of this one. They are flimsy; glad I spent the few extra dollars for stout equipment.

    Weighty stand that stands up to thr challenge

    This is a great mic stand because, even though the description says light weight construction, it is heavy enough to stop from teetering when you connect an iPad, drink holder and telescope it for sitting down. It does the job better.
