    After a little work the radio works great!

    This was a For Parts, Not working radio. It had the blue screen of death but you could actually see the frequency(s) if you tilted the radio on a 45 degree angle. There is a repair out there to handle the blue screen problem. I did that and added a new microphone. I now have a great radio. My friends tell me it sounds very good. I thought the price was reasonable. I figure I got a bargain.

    Kenwood TM V7A radio

    This is a very good radio with few issues. First thing to check is if there are any lines in the display. This is a common problem with this model. Otherwise it's a very functional radio with many features. Dual receive, on the same band or different bands. Multiple ways to set up the audio, with or without external speaker(s). Cross band repeat, which is neat but you probably won't have much use for. Labeling memories can include the memory number, frequency and an alpha tag, all at the same time. Storing and changing memory settings is rather simple as well.
