  • great story, occasionally slow

I originally read "The Feast of All Saints" many years ago when it first came out, and recently decided that I wanted to expand my library, so I started with some old favourites. Although it tends to read a bit slow on occasion, it is still an absolutely fabulous book that gives us a look back into a little-known part of our history. A fictional story about Marcel Ste. Marie and his family, it incorporate many other people and places, interweaving them all into a wonderful tapestry. When completed, the book leaves you with a sense of sorrow and joy, righteous anger and hopeless acceptance, but a good feeling over all. Definitely a great read if you enjoy Anne Rice (and a little bit of history!).
