    ANNA LARENINA Vivian Leigh vs Sophie Marceau

    You can't go wrong with Vivian Leigh's famous movies...it is a little of a problem to watch her, because I can't get Gone With the Wind out of mind, as well as Streetcar Named Desire. The real WINNER is Anna Karenina by Sophie Marceau (a French actress) is FABULOUS...in the caliber of Dr, Zhivago. It is what a movie should be. I also have Anna Larenina by Greta Garbo, and the recent Keira Knightly. Keira is a lovely person in this movie--I did not like the Count, Jude Law...really!! I did not like the new approach of the director in this movie.

    Lush, But Tragic Russian Victorian Story

    This tragic Russian Victorian story DVD has Anna being acted by "Scarlett" from Gone With The Wind. Here she is married with children but becomes involved with a handsome Count. Although her husband is emotionally cold and focused on his business; he is not merciful. The scenes are lush and authentically Russian. Recommended.
