About this product

Product Information

Wii gamers use their Balance Board to get fit and shed the fat in Jillian Michaels' Fitness Ultimatum 2009. Known for her work as a personal trainer on the TV program The Biggest Loser, Michaels guides players through a program full of varied workouts and fitness tests. Users can select from Weight Loss, Strength Training, Interval, and Hill Climb exercise routines, and then choose a workout length, from a quick five-minute romp all the way to an hour-long session. Players begin in a simulated boot camp, where each workout starts with a series of judged challenges that include: obstacle courses, balance beam, rowing, crossing monkey bars, and punching a weighted bag, among others. Personal data is tracked so players can measure their progress with regard to weight loss and calories burned, and users can unlock video tips about fitness and lifestyle. The game also lets two players get fit together by racing against each other in the complete obstacle course or any single challenge in Competitive Campfire mode.

  • Good For Novice, but Expected more from Jillian

Both my wife and I are fans of Jilian Michaels and expected a product with her name on to be as intense as she is in the show. Unfortunately, we were dissapointed with this game. The WII Fit game package has better workouts, trainers and sensitivity of the system. The idea behind the game is good and has merit, but we found that the interaction with the remote control, numchuck and WII Fit board is lacking. The game makes you earn health tips by completing workouts and training events. The events are also ingenous ideas, but the slow and uncoordinated response from the controlers make the game frustrating. For a novice fitness person, the workouts will probably be fine, and the tips will be informative. Bottom line: If you are already in shape, stick to the WII Fit game that comes with ...

  • More of a Challenging Fun Game than a Fitness Motivator

I’m a detail person; just skip down to PRO/CON’s if you want quick. OVERALL: Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum 2009 did not turn out to be as expected. This is better as a game with multiple levels of aerobic activity than a physical workout training session. The JMFU2009 boasts if you have no time for the Gym-No problem! J. Michael’s challenges you w/ a fun yet intense workout of rigorous exercise routines. I found there are many activities that do get your heart pumping, but it's not like you are performing specialized fitness routines. I give this game 3 out of 5 stars because it does have some fun things, yet, it’s just not all it advertised. The GAME: You will create an avatar. There are 4 different training activities: Weight loss, Intervals, Strength trainin, & Hill climb. Each ...

  • I love Jillian, but this game is dark and slow

I love Jillian, but this game is dark and slow to capture my movements. There are places I can be running full speed on my board and it barely moves my avatar. Most of the scenes are very dark and lack detail. The setting is very 'boot camp' which is what I thought I wanted, but compared to Wii Sports Resort, I realize I miss the lively color, sounds and other distractions. What I DID love about this game is the ability to weigh yourself, make your avatar (Mii) in your own image, including the application of your weight! The digital weight was a shock for me, since I have not weighed myself in a very long time. It was a shock I definitely needed to experience. There are additional rewards as you go along and it does track your progress. My only problem is the motivation to get to that ...

  • Not quite what I expected

This disc was not quite what I expected. I bought it, set up my avatar, and did a 30 min. workout and a 10 min. workout. The general layout is OK, but there is no easy way to exit the game. You have to actually remove the disc. The basis of the work out session is good, and the actual exercises have the potential to be intensive. The actual interaction with the Wii system seems to be a little lacking. You have to hold or shake the remote in a particular manner in order to get the movements to register with the system, but once y ou figure out what type of movement the system is looking for it is pretty easy to repeat. I would rate this as an average workout. I did like the fact that you can either customize and choose which "moves" you want to do or you can let the Wii choose them for ...

  • Jillian Michaels' Fitness Ultimatum Wii

Okay, I am hooked on the T.V. show "The Biggest Loser." I want to be the biggest loser in my house. I have only played this game once, so far. I can pretty much figure out to play a game without reading the manual. I'm not sure if reading it would have help me or not, but the game was at times, not easy (i.e. throwing the grenades). I definitely worked up a sweat choosing my own work out and then competing with my cheating 8 year old son. The next day I had sore muscles from lots of squats. Each level of workout you complete, you unlock one fitness tip. I wish you could pick which catagory to unlock a fitness tip. I also wish there was more information on how you can get a great overall workout. Like I stated before, it could be in the manual. All in all, it is a good game. You get out of ...
