Here is an outstanding treatment of the Henriad. The producers and casting directors went to great lengths to create an immensly cinematic treatment populated by outstanding actors. It's full of period detail, richly conceived line readings, and great fun.

This series presents the most engaging versions of Shakespeare's history plays that anyone could hope for. It has a very "Game of Thrones" feel to it, and the performances, particularly Benedict Cumberbatch's Oscar-worthy performance of Richard III (in the 2nd season of the series), are breathtaking. Truly the definitive productions, and likely to remain so for generations. I can't recommend these highly enough!This series presents the most engaging versions of Shakespeare's history plays that anyone could hope for. Poor Choice
The dialogue threw me off and I found it extremely difficult to follow along. I should have paid closer attention to the description of this series. I will probably donate it to the public library. IMO, I wasted my money with this purchase.

This is the best production of any of Shakespeare's history plays I have ever seen.
This series involves the most intriguing productions of any of Shakespeare's history plays I have ever seen. I would never have thought I could be intrigued by viewing Henry VI. The actors are quite engaging in their roles, and the productions are totally authentic. Benedict Cumberbatch is amazing as Richard III.
