Not on par with Rocky...
I couldn't resist this one, I knew buying it I'd have to expect something different than the synth heavy metal stadium rock on ROCKY IV that has become a pop culture staple, but even then I was in for a surprise. Rocky V is by no means a bad soundtrack, but trying to be with the times, it relies heavily on the Hip Hop wave that was influencing all soundtracks in the late 80s/early 90s. Take Ghostbusters II, Out for Justice, or any major production, they took to Hip Hop. When I listen to this CD, I envision "In Living Color" and the Fly Girls on stage, not Rocky Balboa preparing to clobber Tommy Morrison. As mentioned, the only song that stuck out was Elton John's "Measure of A Man". It's no Billboard ready track, but it's enjoyable and the sad highlight here. The rest is forgettable, ... I can't recomend it unless you are a Rocky die hard fan, or you do enjoy the late 80s Hip Hop explosion, then it might serve some purpose.

this is an awesome soundtrack it is fun and enjoyable to listen to the best songs on this soundtrack are all of them. If you have not listened to this soundtrack then I recommend you do
