It's ping-pong played to the death in this balls-out comedy: Dan Fogler stars as pong child prodigy and Def Leppard-devotee Randy Daytona, whose defeat at the hands of a hissy East German (Thomas Lennon) during the 1988 Olympics forced him leave the world of ping-pong competition in disgrace. Randy's life is a shambles until he gets recruited by CIA agent (Barry Lopez) to infiltrate an ENTER THE DRAGON-style ping-pong tournament (to the death), run by an evil triad leader (Christopher Walken). First Randy needs to get back in shape; enter James Hong (BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA) as the blind ping-pong master Wang and Maggie Q as his sexy, kung fu-fighting niece. While FURY is a consistently funny comedy it also manages to sluly infuse some intelligence and compassion into its steady stream of genre spoofery and lowbrow crotch gags (similar in that sense to Mel Brooks' BLAZING SADDLES). Fogler has an engagingly scruffy underdog-style warmth and seems to really connect with the older pros like Walken and Hong; there's the sense everyone had a good time making this film, which carries over to the audience. Director Robert Ben Garant knows when to speed up the action and when to give his actors room to stretch out; the result is a generous spirit where all the cast is allowed to grab their share of the laughs. There's also some awesome Def Lepard tunes on the soundtrack, and Maggie Q is one smokin' hot babe.

Although Randy hasn't competed in years, he gets his "groove back", thanks to the grueling training regimen of blind Ping-Pong Master, Wong (James Hong). (These training sequences provide some side-hurting laughter; that may require the PAUSE button while you change your outfit "If You Get My Point"). Summoned to Feng's secret tropical lair to play in an Underground Ping-Pong Tournament; Randy faces the World's Best Players, including his old nemesis Karl, as he tries to foil Feng's evil plans. Alums of MTV's The State sketch comedy series, Garant and Lennon carry the comic timing and ingenuity to sustain this feature-length film. 'Balls of Fury' lurches from one broad staged set piece to another as it crusades towards the loud and spectacularly carousing finale. The filmmakers aim for the lowest common denominator with crude regularity, which generates the hugest laughs. The actors never need to struggle in performing the comedy equivalent of CPR on 'Balls of Fury'. Viewers inevitably come to love lissome Maggie Q, Fogler's love interest. A Tony Award Winner in his first feature film lead, it's great to see a beauty as poised as Q play her love scenes with Fogler's charm-free, corpulent beast (or hairy smurf) character. All around; 'Balls of Fury' presents the copulent fun that requires no deep thought; just a will to laugh and smile. Proceed into the film with that at heart, and you are destined for the ride of a crude-swilling lifetime. Very funny slap stick comedy
This movie is a great sight gag movie. Christopher Walken is a funny actor that doesn't do enough comedy movies. If you like slap stick comedy, Balls of Fury delivers. The old chinese man is hilarious. The stereotyping is a tribute to the great Mel Brooks who made fun of everyone regardless of race, religion, and culture. We all should embrace our difference and laugh about them. Very funny movie.This movie is a great sight gag movie. Christopher Walken is a funny actor that doesn't do enough comedy movies. Great Balls of Furry!
I found this movie to be very entertaining, I'm a Ping-pong player myself and enjoy the sport very much, this movie was able to bring a little humor to the sport. It's not the greatest movie, but it is a movie a family could enjoy together, and then there is Maggie Q, this is one gorgeous lady to see in any movie.

Balls of Fury
The disc was very smuged and scratched and my hddvd player could not read the disc even after i tried cleaning it. i got screwed on this one
