Absolutely Stunning Visuals. Very informative and a true pleasure to own!
Being a true realist when it comes to documentaries, I don't usually write very many reviews. I did not know what to expect when I just purchased this film. Watching it, I have to say that this is an absolutely amazing production. It isn't just the underwater beauty and thousands of colourful fish that captures you. I really like the guide for the movie, he is right there in the middle of the underwater reef, explaining what is going on or he is in standing in the middle of one of 600 islands located on the Australian Reef. The movie is really in depth and makes you really understand the reef. It also goes to explain beyond the reef, like what happens in the remainder 75% of the water located in that area. Most of the fish are raised in the nurseries in these remaining waters. The movie is in depth but absolutely not boring at all, it is very captivating. The visuals are Stunning, they are right up there with Planet Earth and Frozen Planet (and believe me, I practically never say that about any other documentaries). One other huge plus for me personally, is that this film isn't short, it is almost 3 hours long and gives you the chance to really enjoy it. In other words it doesn't just skimp through a couple of subjects and finish (I Really don't like those, it feels like you wasted your money). If you love underwater life and want a truly beautiful and very informative film, one you are actually able to enjoy ...BUY THIS!!! It really is worth every penny.
