Required replacement
I purchased this as a replacement on a food processor I have owned for over 10 years. My original bowl cracked at the connection between the handle and the bowl, and not due to any misuse. That does seem like either poor design, lack of durability, or both but at this point that doesn't matter; the base/motor still runs fine and I needed a replacement bowl if I want to keep using my food processor, and this bowl works with my model which has given me over 10 years of good service. I only wish they were easier to find and not so costly: a new bowl will set you back $75 on a piece of equipment that was $200 new.I purchased this as a replacement on a food processor I have owned for over 10 years.
