About this product

Product Information

Take the gameplay of the classic Mario Bros., imagine a 3D twist and you'll probably end up with Nintendo's Mario Clash for the Virtual Boy. The Clash House tower is filled with little critters walking through pipes and along narrow ledges, so it's up to Mario to knock them off using Koopa (or turtle) shells.

The twist is that the critters are moving in both the foreground and background, giving each level a 3D appearance. Defeat all of the enemies on a level and you'll move to the next, eventually making your way through 40 floors to the top of the tower. Of course, gameplay will become faster and you'll encounter more challenging enemies the higher you climb. No one said being a plumber was easy!

Mario Clash is a worthwhile fun little game.

Mario Clash is fun and takes advantage of the Virtual Boy's 3D display. It's classic Mario gameplay with a 3D twist. A must have for your Virtual Boy library.

  • Interesting take on a classic

Mario Clash, the only Mario appearance on the Virtual Boy (besides Mario Tennis), is often criticized in some circles, but all in all one of the better games for the system. Mario Clash is basically a 3-D version of the original arcade classic Mario Bros. The game can be challenging and the fact that you can start at any level in the game makes it far more enjoyable as there is no save feature and it is near impossible to beat the whole game in one sitting (whether out of boredom of the repetitive game play or headaches associated with long-term virtual boy play.) All in all, it’s probably in the top of U.S. Virtual Boy games, although that may not say much due to the fact that only 14 games were released for the system in America.

  • Mario Clash for the Virtual Boy

Just like any other Mario game this one is top notch gaming. If you a Mario fan then this is one game you have to get. Not very challenging, but it is very different and is in 3D. Plays similar to the original Mario Brothers, you collect coins and jump on crabs and other enemies, but with the 3D flare. You can go from the foreground to the background with non stop action and levels do get harder as you go on. Overall it is a good game to play and or at least have in your game collection.

  • if you have a virtual boy this is a must have

Classic Mario with a 3d virtual boy twist. This is one of the best games for the virtual boy. This game can be played for a couple hours at a time before you are ready to put it down. It is a very addictive game. The only bad part is I wish that others could see the great move I just did. I still play all the time. If you don't have a virtual boy, get one and get this game, it will be worth it just to play this game. (and galactic pinball too)
