About this product

Product Information

Sony's answer to Konami's Metal Gear Solid series makes its first appearance on PSP with Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror. Agent Gabe Logan returns for a black ops campaign that involves retrieving a powerful weapon known as the "Dark Mirror" from an opportunistic terrorist organization. To accomplish his objectives, Logan will journey around the world to infiltrate an assortment of outdoor and indoor bases from a third-person perspective. Notable gadgets include a special dart-equipped rifle and vision enhancement goggles, but Logan is always free to engage in melee combat with either a knife or his fists. Players will be able to advance through 23 missions in the solo campaign or challenge friends online on a choice of five specially designed multiplayer maps.

  • Syphon Filter Hits The PSP

Syphon Filter made quite a name for itself on the PS2 quite a while back with its great graphics, great storyline and exceptional missions. It has now been released on the Sony PSP but will it live up to the hype that surrounds it or will it be another mediocre PSP game? WHAT IS SYPHON FILTER? The PSP is constantly thrown rushed ports of games, simply to make quick money or just because developers consider the PSP a side project with little consideration, I was really hoping that Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror would not become another one of these, the PSP has very few good games as it is and has been needing another game in the mold of SOCOM Navy Seals. Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror is a action / stealth experience for the Playstation Portable Entertainment System. If you can imaging crossing ...

  • A Solid, Solid Game!

Syphon Filter Dark Mirror is an excellent third person shooter game. You play as Gabe Logan going on different missions such as infiltrating Russia and finding clues about the disappearance of Hargrove. The controls work quite well as you shoot enemies and stock up on valuable weapons. The game is pretty long and challenging which makes this one of the better games you will play on the PSP. There is also replay value as there are bonus levels you can earn and replay many of the levels on mission mode that you played during the game. You can also unlock new weapons and behind the scenes features to many levels just like a Dvd. It is a blast to play because the controls are simple, the gameplay is exhilirating, and Gabe looks like a hardcore dude in action. I think this is the best Syphon ...

  • Cleverly Entertaining

I think SCEA did a great job creating this game. I thoroughly enjoyed the single-player missions. It had a rich, in-depth storyline, as well as character development. In the single-player part of the game, there are over hundreds of weapons and gadgets to choose from. Most of the guns and gadgets you have to unlock though, which gives a point of playing the game. You can also sneak behind an enemy and break his neck, slice him with a knife, or shoot him in the head. Whichever way works good for you. I also love the fact that each mission didn't take long at all to load. And you can easily get over 30+ hours from the single-player missions. This game easily outshines in graphics from the other games. The characters look great, texture, maps, and almost everything looks clean and smooth. Now ...

  • WOWY WOW WOW WOW!

I have never played any other game in the Syphon Filter series besides Dark Mirror, and frankly I am very impressed. When I was first looking into buying a PSP I went through list after list looking for a game that would entertain for the next 2 months, considering that the PSP in itself is enough to make your wallet cry. After playing through the first mission I was completely astounded. I felt like I was actually playing a PlayStation. The graphics we're outstanding, besides a couple facial issues, and the gameplay was almost perfect. This game contains 7 episodes. Each episode is divided into parts. There are a total of 24 parts in the entire game. There is also 4 training missions and another 5 bonus missions that can be unlocked by completing various tasks after the story is beaten. ...

  • Perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This game is beyond amazing. I've had this game since release date, March 14, 2006, and still play it as much as I did then; now. The game, in all of its aspects, cannot be beat by any other PSP game around. The single player can be played hours upon hours and not got boring and it can be replayed many times. The single player also has a ranking system such as the more headshots you get on the harder difficulties the better gun you obtain. There is really no flaws to this game at all. The multi-player is unbeatable. The ranking system is perfect and should be used in every game. The idea of getting better guns when you rank up is just perfect. It pushes you to play more and try and prosper and rank up to get more guns. The maps are swell. IF you do not have this game and have a PSP you are ...
