    Lightweight with alot of features

The camera is great for the price does well in auto, a little harder to use for me but learning it The sd card that came with it was filled after only 4 pics and I bought a new card and was unable to format it with the camera but used another card from old camera and was able to format it and now able to take more than 4 pics. The camera overall is good and just what I needed Lightweight and easy to take with on hikes, worth the price.

    I was not happy

I wish I could tell more the camera itself seems very easy to use , easy to transfer to the computer , did not do well for up close pics, they came out blurry. Unfortunately the one I purchased was used , the battery door did not close all the way flush and the low battery flashed no matter how many times I changed batteries. Day 1 I did take some pics ,the next time I went to use it the camera quit working . I am very unhappy. I bought mine used and very cheap , I feel like it would be a great camera if I bought new or like new condition

  • Nice Camera

Wanted a small camera with optical viewfinder. This Canon has the features I wanted, good picture resolution, and uses standard AA batteries. Turning off the screen and using the optical viewfinder really saves on battery life.

  • Decent picture but no real manual exposure control.

I use these specifically for CHDK experiments so YMMV. The A560 is a small, but bulky point and shoot camera. Does not fit in the pocket well, if at all, depending on the modernity of your pants. It takes decent pictures, like most other earlier powershots. Expect ruddy colors and a bit of noise like any good point and shoot camera of any age. Uses AA NiMH or alkaline batteries and has an external power inlet on the side, which is magnificent. Like most of these cameras, zooming wide produces a sharper image, and the A560 seems to control color noise better than the earlier models. The A560 is the first of this series with a decently large display screen. The odd part is that unlike the ancient A530, there is no manual or even aperture priority exposure control setting. Of course these ...

  • Older technology that still works well.

I bought to make a book scanner. Takes better photos than I imagined. happy with it. Other than size and battery life it would be good for taking pictures or a kids first camera. I do recommend power adapter wherever mobility isn't required. I bought three of them and like them all.
