  • Good reading unless one is not into horror and intense books

Good value and a good read. Riveting, but Stephen King isn't known for writing dry dull books.

  • Excellent from King

Can't believe King wrote this in only two weeks. He doesn't think too highly of it, based on interviews, but he credits it to putting him on the map. I bought Carrie because I am a huge King fan and wanted to read some of his earlier works. Carrie is the first published book of his, and the first to be made into a movie, so I read it. It was excellent. King uses snippets from newspaper articles, research articles, and autobiographies about Carrie White and others to build suspense. For instance, part of classmate Susan Snell's autobiography might say, "But you can't ignore Carrie's story now. Too many people are dead." And then the reader can't help but reader further to find how how and why so many casualties occurred. All in all, a great King book that you could read in a day and not ...

  • Stick to it.

A difficult read because it goes back and forth on the story. The story is compelling stick to it. You'll like it.
