    Almost does what it says on the tin

    I bought these walkie talkies to keep in touch with some friends that we are meeting on board a cruise ship in February. The "phones" arrived very quickly and I have tried them out. They work very well, although the claimed coverage of 3 kilometers is I think rather optomistic. However, I'm not expecting to need them to cover such a distance. I don't know yet whether they will work in the interior parts of the ship, I doubt that they will, but they should be ok on deck or to find our friends when we go ashore. They would probably be very good for keeping tabs on ones kids when they're out playing and of course, unlike mobile phones are free to call. Anyway, I only bought them for a bit of fun on holiday. The price was excellent and so represent good value for money

    Roger, Roger .....

    I bought these little beauties for use at home. My elderly Mum had just moved in with us and shes disabled, so she spends a lot of time in her room, got her a bell to start with, you can imagine where that ended up!! Seriously though I bought these walkies and off we went, Mum can contact me where ever I am in the house and they are really simple to use, even for a 82 year old technophobe!! Ideal for short range, you may need to find a channel thats not being used by the local taxi rank, but other than that superb to use and very reliable....

    Pity we had a Base Station Charging fault!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I bought this item for my elderly Father and Mother in-law to use at night; they both sleep in separate bedrooms and it was a way for them to keep in touch if they wanted assistance or to chat to each other. They have now been using them nightly for the past month or so. They have worked fine until a week ago when one of the radios started bleeping in the middle of the night which meant that it needed re-charging. This puzzled us as both units were always put into the base station charging unit in the daytime so in theory both should always be fully charged. To cut a long story short we investigated the problem and found that one of the base station charging points (rear one) was not charging. I wanted to send the base station charging unit back to the supplier for a replacement but the ...

    Good for short range communication

    We brought these to use on a narrow boating holiday giving use two way communication at locks tunnels and below deck. They have a good range on clear line of sight approx 1 mile; this is cut down when buildings block the radio waves but still not bad for the price. Lightweight and easy to use.

    great items, easy to use, simple instructions

    Great items. Easy to use. Simple instructions. Bought these so that we can keep contact at car boots without using our mobiles. When me and my husband are on our mobility scooters we don't have to shout at each other. The only down side is there are 8 channels and we have to find one not in use, others can hear your messages if they are on the same channel. Recommend others to buy.
