  • TMT LoFi recording has high class!!!

Just received the Manhattan Transfer CD The Spirit of St. Louis. What a great album. It is so hard to find TMT material anymore unless you get it online. This is a lo-fi recording of Louis Armstrong's music as a tribute and it is everything you could hope for from The Manhattan Transfer. It does take some getting used to when you listen to realize it is a very bare recording. Many times just a standup bass, drums, a piano. All recording very flat with no special effects. It is a great listen for a true jazz fan. There is nothing I really dislike about the album (of course, I have been a TMT fan for many years). In this day and age of "alternative" music, this truly is an alternative album for the jazz fan.

A good CD of this group. I am a Manhattan Transfer fan and have a lot of their CD's. BC
