    Better than the rest.

    Having read the novel, I can accurately say that I prefer this adaptation (1996) to the 2006 adaptation of the same name. Although in some ways the 2006 adaptation holds truer to the novel, the 1996 version better encapsulates its tone. Though neither accurately portrays all aspects of the novel especially Janes relationship with the Rivers family. With that being said this is by far one of my favourite movies to watch.

    A very engaging story

    This is a very well-produced movie based on a classic story. I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing it over the years on television. The sets and the acting are excellent. I am very happy to have my own copy to enjoy whenever I please.
