The Roland Octa-Capture is a portable USB 2.0 audio interface that supports high-speed data transfers to and from your computer, giving you transparent 24-bit/192 kHz audio resolution. Ten inputs, ten outputs, and eight built-in VS preamps give you the I/O you need to record, edit and mix high quality audio with 16 dB headroom. It supports all major DAW platforms on PC or Mac, making it an excellent interface for multi-channel computer-based production. The Auto-Sens function intelligently sets optimal input levels for all preamps, and its four independent software-controlled Direct Mixers are ideal for creating custom monitor mixes. The Octa-Capture gives you Roland‘s quality engineering, premium components, and proprietary preamp and stable low-latency VS Streaming technology, all in a package weighing less than three pounds (1.3 kg) and small enough to easily carry around to recording sessions.

I appreciated that it was carefully packed with lots of layers of bubblewrap and thin corrugated cardboard. The pad itself was exactly as described, and functioned as expected when I hooked it up to a Roland module and set the correct pad settings in the module.
