Prince of Persia 2: Shadow and the Flame requires your old Super Nintendo Entertainment System console (SNES) before you start your journey back into the world of the original DOS game. A continuation of that, Prince of Persia 2: Shadow and the Flame (SNES) starts off with the Prince and the Princess married. It has only been a handful of days since the end of the first game’s last level, and Jaffar, the villain from the original, comes back to wreak havoc and ruin upon the land. Jaffar casts a spell on the prince to turn him into a beggar, while the wizard, himself, disguises himself as the Prince and assumes contro lof his kingdom. The true Prince's guards turn against him, and he is chased out of the palace. He wakes up on the shore of a foreign land. He dreams of a woman who tells him to come to her. Now you, as the Prince of Persia, must journey through traps, puzzles, and sword fights through many levels and defeat Jaffar once and for all. Journey through many a level while looking for the mysterious woman on your SNES. The majority of the game is the Prince of Persia and his search for her, to unlock his destiny and retake his kingdom. There are snakes, flying carpets, burning lava, and other features to get through. If you do not own an older SNES console, you may be able to get it on your iOS or Android system, as it was re-released for these platforms in 2013 as Prince of Persia: The Shadow and the Flame. The game can also be unlocked in the Xbox version of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time if you find the right secret area. If you have another console, like a Wii, PSP, Atari, GameCube, or Sega Genesis, you may be able to find a read-only memory (ROM) version that can be used on your platform or computer. However, to play the game the way it was meant to be played, you need your Super Nintendo (SNES).
