Product Information

Gamers head off to tranquil lakes and sandy beaches in an effort to wrangle more than 40 different kinds of fish in Reel Fishing: Angler's Dream. The game takes advantage of the Wii's motion-sensitive controls to let players cast and reel just as they would in real life, and each of the 40 fish species fights and flees like its real-world counterpart. When gamers are satisfied with their catch they can head back to the lodge, where the Fishing Master doles out expert advice and showcases the new equipment players have earned. Angler's Dream also strays into life development sim territory, because the lodge includes a number of aquariums where gamers can care for and rear their most prized catches. The ultimate goal for solo players is to track down the rare and elusive Legendary Fish, but those looking for multiplayer action can join up to three friends in the competitive "Versus" mode.

    Not impressed

    I don't really care for the game much so far. And I don't like someone telling me how to fish. I think the old guy is a little annoying. Not a game I would give a very good rating to. But maybe I'm just 2 old figure it out LOL

    Reel Fishing

    I bought this game for my husband who is a die hard fisherman but is not able to get out and fish lately due to an injury. He has never been satisfied with fishing games in the past but he loves this one. He really loves that he can do all kinds of fishing... lake, river, stream and ocean. He loves that he can fish for trout or tuna or salmon. He really enjoys the realistic scenery and the sounds of nature... he says its relaxing. He can play this game just like he fishes..... for hours and hours and hours and hours. But he does it all from our living room. I highly recommed this game to any fisherman who cannot fish or any fishing widow who would like her man at home once in awhile.

    Go with a different fishing game

    I love fishing and so I thought it would be fun to get a fishing game for the Wii. Maybe even one that I could play with my kids. This one stood out because it includes fly fishing and you can keep the fish in an aquarium which is fun and very kid friendly. Unfortunately, whomever made the game has never been fishing in their lives. There is no similarity, and the actions such as casting and setting the hook are contrived and not fun. In fly fishing mode you just swing the rod back and forth as fast as you can and they say that ten swings is the ideal amount. Not only is that far from a true simulation of the sport, it is also pretty boring to play. Go with a different, more reputable game. There is a reason this wasn't popular.

    Low Grade Game.

    This game is very complicated even for advanced players. Definitively not kid friendly. If you're looking for a game you can play with your kids, I do not recommend this one.
