No complaints here! Arrived later than advertised, but that was fine. Good communication by seller. 150-year old book actually arrived in better condition than I expected even though it was delivered inside a thin plastic envelope. For the sale price, I am a very happy customer. Thank you!

  • Helen of Troy is more than a part of history

I recently heard a review about this book and decided to get it for myself. Upon going into a bookstore I found it was priced around $30. As much as I wanted to read it, I didn't want to spend so much money. I was able to find it on Half. com for a much better price. I love that is a book based on a historical figure, but it has been changed to be only from the perception of Helen. The fictional tale will keep the reader interested until the very end. Although it is so large it did take me quite a while to read it.

  • Slow, losing interest. Then you get to the war.

Soooooo slow. Does it have to start off with Helen at 3-4 years old? How is it they were together all those years with no children?

  • VERY INTERESTING! DON'T PASS UP THIS BOOK!

This is a fantastic book! It tells the tale of Helen of Troy in a way that I have never read before. Margaret George sweeps you into the turbulent life of Helen of Sparta who later became known as Helen of Troy - the face that launched a thousand ships. This author really knows how to draw you in and keep you interested until the very end - and leaves you wanting more. I highly recommend this book to add to your summertime reading list.

  • Helen of Troy by Magaret George

I am an avid reader and dearly love all of Margaret George's books. Helen of Troy did NOT dissapoint me. It took me to the ancient cities of Sparta and Troy with all of Margaret George's story telling. I long for her to write another book since I have read and own all of her previous books. You will not be disappointed in this book or any other book of hers. This is higly recommended for people who enjoy reading ancient history.
