Going boldly where no man had gone before, Gene Roddenberry's cult phenomenon STAR TREK debuted in 1966 and reflected that decade's optimistic preoccupation with space travel. Set in the 23rd century, the series chronicled the intergalactic adventures of the U.S.S. Enterprise on its five-year mission to explore the outer reaches of space. Encountering a now-iconic assembly of innovative alien life forms such as the Klingons, Romulans, Tribbles, and Khan Noonian Singh, the ship's jumpsuited crew was a then unheard-of font of multiculturism: Asian Sulu (George Takei), African-American Uhura (Nichelle Nichols), and Scotsman Montgomery Scott (James Doohan). But it was the contrasting personalities of cooly logical Vulcan Mr. Spock (Leonard Nimoy), emotionally intuitive medical officer Leonard "Bones" McCoy (DeForest Kelley), and womanizing ship captain James T. Kirk (William Shatner in definitive overacting mode) that lent the series much of its charm--and spawned a rabid cult following that continues to fuel costume sales and convention bookings to this very day.     Not only is the DVD a must have for any Zep fan, the price on this was a steal! For a Bluray with so much content and one of the greatest bands ever, this is a must have! I highly recommend picking up a copy!

    VERY SIMPLE, FOR ANY ONE OUT THERE WHO OWNES A BLU RAY PLAYER THIS IS A MUST HAVE.I DID NOT THINK IT WAS POSSIBLE TO IMPROVE ON THE ORIGINAL, BUT BLU RAY DOES IT!!! I WAITED 25 YEARS TO HEAR SOUND WITH THIS QUALITY,IT IS BY FAR THE BEST EVER, AND THE PICTURE QUALITY IS FAR MORE SUPERIOR THAN THE ORIGINAL. THE PICTURE IS VIBRANT, AND LITERALLY JUMPS OFF THE SCREEN. FOR SOME REASON THIS BLU RAY DVD IS NOT AVAILABLE,(THE RELEASE DATE HAS BEEN POSTPONED BY 2 YEARS) BUT YOU CAN FIND IT ON E BAY. AS I STARTED THIS REVIEW, VERY SIMPLE, BUY THIS!!!!!!! LED ZEP FAN LARRY C. PSSSSS. THE NEXT REVIEW ROBERT? SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH HIM!!! 4.5 NO WAY!!! THIS IS A BEST EVER DVD.     Led Zeppelin - The song remains the same

    What I love about it is that it could not be purchase for some time and now I have it...There is sound on this thing that I have never heard before....What I hate is that is took 30 some odd years for it to happen...Then again, everything led zeppelin takes 30 years....

    Great sound,good extras,decent picture

    The best part of this Blue-Ray is the sound quality....excellent! That is the reason that i bought this disk. The extras are good especially some previously unreleased clips..."The Ocean" for one is great! Picture quality is o.k. shots of the crowd are crystal clear though and if you were there you may be able to see yourself on this disk.

    The Song Remains The Same on Blu-ray

    The regular Dvd was impressive with great action scenes, but the Blu-ray takes the viewer to a whole new level of enjoyment. Once a skeptic of the "high-def" fad, I am now a "true believer" in the technology that can make such an overwhelming improvement in "enjoyment factor" of the movie. I-buy-sell-trade
