Picking up where BACK TO THE FUTURE left off, this effects-laden sequel sends Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox), Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd), and a souped-up DeLorean on a newly complex adventure through time. It’s still 1985 in the present, but Doc Brown returns from the future with bad news: in 2015, Marty’s teenaged son is about to make a criminally bad decision. Determined to keep it from happening, Marty joins Doc on a trek to the future, a high-tech land of hoverboards and video screens; once there, Marty impersonates his kid to thwart the bullies bent on recruiting him. Though the mission is right-minded, it has unfortunate effects on the past, causing the pair to revisit 1955 to smooth out -- once again--the wrinkles they accidentally created. Directed and co-written by Robert Zemeckis, BACK TO THE FUTURE II wowed audiences with cutting-edge visuals and garnered an Academy Awards nomination for its futuristic special effects.

Picking up where we left off back in 1985, Robert Zemekis does take two on one of his biggest box office hits - Back To The Future. In Part II, (there's a four year difference between the first and second film), we last saw Marty, Doc and Jennifer take off into the future, 2015. The Mcfly family is in trouble and it's up to Marty and Doc to save it! There is however one glitch - an older Biff Tannen manages to steal both the Gray's Sports Almanac and the Delorean without being noticed. The result is catastrophic. When Marty and Doc return to find 1985 in shambles, they must travel back to November 12, 1955. As far as the film's visual effects, the technology went ... Picking up where we left off back in 1985, Robert Zemekis does take two on one of his biggest box office hits - Back To The Future. In Part II, (there's a four year difference between the first and second film), we last saw Marty, Doc and Jennifer take off into the future, 2015. The Mcfly family is in trouble and it's up to Marty and Doc to save it! When Marty and Doc return to find 1985 in shambles, they must travel back to November 12, 1955. As far as the film's visual effects, the technology went through the roof, (predating CGI). The specific piece of film technology was using a dolly camera that allowed them to cut the film into thirds to complete the dinner scene in 2015 with Michael in three different shots when at the same time, interacting with himself as Older Marty, Marty Jr. and crossdressing as his daughter, Marlene. Other effects were having to recreate the whole Enchantment Under The Sea Dance as it had been done in Part I, only this time inserting an extra Marty who is watching for Biff and his gang. This movie made history being the first film that had doubles on camera that would ineract with each other. The three specific examples are the Enchantment Under The Sea segments with two Marty's, Biff talking with his younger self in his 1950s rig and Doc conversing with himself below the clock tower. It was also one of the first sequals in hollywood history to refrence a huge chunk of the first film release, especially from a different prespective (Biff's view point). Overall, it was a box-office hit and made it to the list of the top best sequals in film history.

Great Movie
If you haven't seen the Back to the Future trilogy, you must see it! The entire trilogy is wonderful, each one of the three. Part 2 is excellent, exciting, and brings back memories of Part 1. But if you haven't seen Part 1 first, definitely see that before watching Part 2. You won't be sorry!
