Very easy transaction. Unfortunately, though, when the item arrived it didn't quite meet the criteria for "Very Good" condition, as stated in the listing. The outer box as well as every one of the cases and liners inside showed various levels of damage as shown in my pictures. The discs themselves appear to be fine and for $5 it's hard to complain, but I might have considered other listings for the item if I knew the actual condition.

Andrew Prine is an excellent actor!
This movie is unlike anything I have ever seen before. It is not a horror movie, but a very interesting take on Simon, the warlock, during the early 70's. This movie was originally billed as a Satanic horror movie, which ended up confusing the audience's expectation of the movie. Simon is on a quest to become the ultimate deity and at the same time, trying to prove to the people around him that he's the real deal. Also, Simon gets involved with corruption in the police department. I couldn't predict how the movie would unfold and it's nice to watch a movie that has an unpredictable ending. Andrew Prine is an underrated actor. After watching this movie, I felt like Andrew should have been a high profile actor. He was the perfect actor to play Simon. I was so interested with ... I enjoyed the special effects when he stepped inside the mirror. For me, that part held up very well and looked right for the movie. I would agree that the red energy ball is outdated for the special effects. If you watch it, you will know what I mean. Check this movie out, if you like movies from the early 70's, seeing a different take on witchcraft, and interesting characters. I try to collect most of Dark Sky Film's movies on dvd. They have a great selection of horror movies. I avoided Simon for a very long time, thinking that the movie trailer looked poor. I first saw Andrew Prine in the movie, "Centerfold Girls," and I liked his performance as a villain. Once I was aware of him and his acting abilities, I had to rent "Simon King Of The Witch" from Netflix to see if I would like it. I loved this movie and I had to have it on dvd. For me, this was Andrew Prine's best performance. Andrew Prine is an underrated actor and he should have become a high profile celebrity. Overall, I think the movie studio made a mistake of billing this movie as a horror movie and aside from that, this movie was unique and almost created it's own genre that people didn't know what to make of it back then. Had this movie been a major box office success in 1971, Andrew Prine could have been a major star.

Classic Bad Movie!
This is a great bit of kitsch. A movie about a Ceremonial magician who lives in a sewer, practicing magic, wooing the daughter of a politician and performing magic tricks at parties.
