Weird Al Yankovic
Way back when, before Hollywood's recent everything-must-be-released-in-3-D, "Weird Al" Yankovic came out with his second album, "In 3-D". It has Michael Jackson's Parody of Beat It, Eat It. I remember being at the roller rink and everyone would request the DJ to play it. I think I heard Eat It more than Beat It that year. Every Halloween we'd go out for a hay ride and we'd hear Nature Trail To Hell. My mom was a little concerned with her sons listening to a song with such language, but she knew we weren't little hellions and it was all in fun. This was my first "Weird Al" record and brings back the most memories for me. I played that thing to death and eventually one of the songs would skip. I traded a few of my records to a friend for cassettes and one of the songs ended up having a skip ... This is Al's 2nd and Rick Derringer came on board on this. Making the music very professional. This contains some very good parodies..."Eat It","I Lost On Jeopardy","King Of Suede"(King Of Pain),"The Brady Bunch"(The Safety Dance)and "Theme From Rocky XIII"(Eye Of The Tiger).Very good originals "Mr. Popiel"(A tribute to Ronco products)in the style of The B-52s and "Buy Me A Condo"(a reggae tune about coming to America)and his 1st Polka Medley of Top 40 songs "Polkas On 45". It's good, but his best is yet to come!! B-This is Al's 2nd and Rick Derringer came on board on this. Making the music very professional.
