This TV show was brought to life in 1994, nearly a decade after the feature film on which it is based--John Hughes's WEIRD SCIENCE--was released. Michael Manasseri and John Mallory Asher respectively star as Wyatt and Gary, the two confused geeks from the feature film, who once again bring the girl of their dreams, Lisa (this time played by Vanessa Angel), to life via a little trickery on their home computer. Lisa can grant the boys any wish they desire, but things don't quite go according to plan, especially when Wyatt's older brother, Chett (Lee Tergesen), is around. This collection includes every episode from the first two seasons of the show.

Where's seasons 3, 4, and 5?
Exactly as advertised. I bought this because it was a highly entertaining show on the usa network in the 1990's. Though satisfied, it's only seasons 1 and 2. Why can't seasons 3, 4, and 5 be released onto DVD?

Second time around with different disks, different players, same problem. Manufacturer's compression recording appears to be flawed as standard players (i.e Toshiba) "lose" where in the directory episodes are and can't access the starting points of episodes deep in the title page, resulting in excess spinning to locate itself. Content otherwise is clear and does not skip, just frustrating at times getting TO the episode. Second time around with different disks, different players, same problem. this isnt as good as the movie lets get that outof the way as soon as posable :P, however they did take the basic idea of the film and mirrored another tv show ( i dream of jeany) to come up with somthing both famliuar and yet still fresh enuff to keep your intrest.if you liked the classic movie even a little your like this.also a note to parents this show has been dial down in tone some what from the movie making it good entertanment for all agesthis isnt as good as the movie lets get that outof the way as soon as posable :P, however they did take the basic idea of the film and mirrored another tv show ( i dream of jeany) to come up with somthing both famliuar and yet still fresh enuff to keep your intrest.if you liked the classic movie even a little your like this.also a note to parents this show has been dial down in tone some what from the movie making it good entertanment for all ages
