About this product

Product Information

A true icon of classic computer gaming, the Prince of Persia returns in The Forgotten Sands, an original 3D adventure of platform puzzles and free-flowing combat, set in the period between The Sands of Time and The Warrior Within. The game builds on the play style of these predecessors, with acrobatic exploration and scimitar-swinging melee, while adding new powers over the forces of nature and the flow of time, useful both in battle and on the move. Similarly, the storyline fits squarely in the Sands of Time saga, while adding new characters, conflicts, and plot elements. Following his epic conflict with the Vizier in Azad, the Prince visits the kingdom of his brother, to find the palace besieged by an army of unmatchable might and ferocity. Seeing no other option, he uses his power over the Sand to save the kingdom from complete annihilation. As before, the unleashing of these mystical forces has great and far-reaching consequences, to which the noble hero must attend, in order to preserve the truth of existence and prove himself still worthy of the powers he commands. Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is released alongside the summer 2010 theatrical debut of Disney's Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, the feature film directed by Mike Newell and co-written by the game series' creator, Jordan Mechner.

    Fun but frustrating

Very enjoyable game but gets too complicated for a 68 year old. My hands don't work as fast as they used to.

  • The new PoP is refreshing, but not the best

I love the Prince of Persia games, and this one was no different in that aspect. The fun of the acrobatics and unique powers was as fun as always. Plus, the newer powers (water, wind, etc.) were done very well. Some little things in there were great as well, such as the kick, which are just tiny details that make the game that much more fun. The camera works good, the voice acting is pretty spot on, and the graphics were significantly better than the old Sands of Time titles. Also, towards the end, leading towards the final battle, the game does a really entertaining thing, which I won't go into much to avoid any spoilers. However, the story isn't extremely unique or original. As far as that and the basic characterization go, there didn't seem to be many risks taken. Also, I have to say, ...

  • Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands PS3

This game is pretty good. Not as good as the others, but still good. They're are a few things missing that were in the last ones. Such as no more slowing time down or really anything with time exept rewinding it. You no longer change into the dark prince either. They have added a few new things, though. You can now freeze water, you have certain specials when fighting. Like fire, ice, & armor. Which get better as you upgrade. Each time you use them it requires using a sand slot. The game was pretty enjoyable, but not very challenging & not very long. I bought it new, but would recommend buying it used because I don't think it was worth the $40!! It is only really good for some quick fun.

  • Good game. - Gets repetative.

After a few levels you realize that it is the same thing over and over again.. this time you dont have someone to save you when you fall to your death. Instead the game makers have added a Time idea where you can go back in time like 5 times and avoid dieing or falling to your doom.. I died a bunch of times. gave up halfway.. through.. the game.. said F... this S..t. ive got better games to play.

  • Great game

I love this game. The story is very well written and it is so fun to play.
