Fantastic birds of prey reference material!
The photographs are incredible! They are very detailed and show the birds from several different angles. I often buy books to use as reference for animals used in my paintings and drawings, and I could not have asked anything more from this book. I purchased this book initially because I was going to be working with birds of prey and I needed to know how to identify different birds. It turned out to be a double deal for me because of its use in my painting. I would point out that some of the photos are taken of birds really for the taxidermist. They are not gruesome and are presented well, but some people could possibly be offended if they were not aware of it first. I grew up with a father that hunted so I am familiar and comfortable with the taxidermy process. Upon reading this book you ... The photographs are incredible! Great Book
This book was put together by one of this countries premier wildlife artists. He goes into depth in the subject and is an essential aid to anyone researching raptors, especially great for a carver such as I.
