    Cisco/AT&T microcell: a great value with some minor restrictions

    I bought this to use at the office because the AT&T reception is so poor here. It is very easy to setup. You set it near a window, plug it into the network, and turn it on. It will start to immediately get the GPS signal for E-911, go through the sequence of discovery and registration, and then be ready. Then you add it to your AT&T account. I did on the personal account but you are supposed to be able to do this with a business account as well. Here's where things get a little bit murky because the instructions (paper and online) have not caught up with modifications to AT&T's management services. It is possible to do this, but you will have to jump through some hoops and go exploring until you find out where the management is. It is not straight forward. Also, adding other users to the ...

    Good but needs work.

    This is a great product for AT&T Costumers. It gives me 5 bars throughout my whole house and can even reach as far as my grandmothers house 200 ft away. Had no trouble setting it up once I got the serial number right. The biggest problem may be that for some reason it gets stuck in limbo and I have to reboot it for my phones to pick it up. Also the Iphones have trouble staying connected on a phone call. Other than that, great product!

    Range extender works

    This is a great product if your cell phone coverage is poor. I now have 5 bars throughout the entire house. Be aware that the device needs to be able to "see" GPS satellites, so it will need to be near a window or at least an outside wall.

    From NO to SHOW(ing 5 bars)

    I moved. All of a sudden in my new place no signal on my phone no service. What did I do? I bought a microcell. And I must say holy crap from nothing to full 5-bar service. Was even able to hook up my gfs phone to it and she has a dif provider. Don't go to ATT buy here you'll probably save $100. You can look the setup and manual online just make sure you get this with the power cord. You will need an Ethernet cable and a modem too if you do it like I did it. Super easy setup. Make sure it's deactivated.
