    Annie Good/ Sequel bad

    The movie Annie is great; fantastic; this DVD does it as full screen pan and scan and frankly ruins it. I've noticed there are many widescreen copies out and they are significantly expensive, so this is o.k. as a cheap alternative. The sequel should NEVER have been done, at least not with that actress. She is perfectly adequate as an actress but was WAY too old for the role and looked it. They should have replaced her. the storyline was pretty silly, but that's to be expected. There was no music or singning which negated one of the big points in the original Annie. Pretty much a waste of time. Really, either buy Annie in widescreen or not at all and don't bother with the sequel.

    This Old Favorite is Great

    I took my little girl to see Annie when it was in the theatre in 1982 or 83, so when I saw a DVD of it, I bought it for sentimental reasons & also for my little girl's (who is now a married woman), little girls. I like it so much better than the remake. I didn't realize until the DVD arrived that it also had another Annie movie on it. I felt I got a great bargain!

    The Great Lil Annie movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I have been wanting my lil girl who is six years old to watch the old movie. I found it at a great price and it also came with the newer version as well. I am very glad I found sich a great deal. Now we can enjoy the movies together!!! Thanks!!!
