Very nice GPS
I have had this GPS unit a month or so now and I love it! Here are some things I wondered about and my experience: It starts up fast and is ready to navigate - I'd estimate a few seconds. Much, much faster than my old unit. After receiving I went to garmin/express and it was so easy to use; however, my unit already had the latest map, apparently, when I received it. I love the "voice command" function and it has worked flawlessly for me. Just say "voice command" and whatever you want to do - navigate, make a phone call, etc. There are a plethora of different functions, but navigate and making phone calls are what I have used so far. I am able to easily hear the person I've called and they say they can hear me. I thought the screen size was 5", and it may be, but it seems bigger ... I have been so happy with this purchase. It works a little better than the GPS in my car - I bought this for my truck that doesn't have GPS. I like the GPS in my car and the things it can do, and this unit works as good and with free map updates and voice command, it makes this unit better. I definitely recommend this product! Next I'm wanting to add a back up camera. This unit has that capability, I just need to buy the camera and have it installed. This unit also has the capability for the baby cam. As I get more used to it there are new features to learn and use. For less than $100 I feel like I got a real bargain. Oh, and when approaching intersections on the interstate it does automatically go to split screen, if you check that option in setup, and show the lane(s) to be in, your exit sign and number, along with verbally letting you know. It warns me when I'm approaching a school zone. It shows my speed and the speed limit of the road I'm on. It works as described and I have had no issues. Mine came with the windshield mount, power cord, and a sleeve for the GPS unit when not in use. Leaving my old unit mounted on the windshield 24/7 I believe killed my old unit, so I do take this unit down and store it when I'm not using it. If you park in a garage you might not have a problem. I park outside and left mine mounted on the windshield - this was this past summer, in the south - and one day it would not come on any longer. My old unit that died also was 6-7 years old. This unit easily connected to my smartphone. I have an Android phone, but it didn't seem there would be a problem with any type phone as long as it has Bluetooth. When I turn the unit on it automatically connects through Bluetooth to my phone and I'm able to call anyone who is stored in my phone. I'm also able to find where I parked. And you can see everywhere you've been. I hope this review helps answer any questions!
