      works as claims

Daughters car had a hole from a bracket that rubbed her a/c line. bent the bracket back, cleaned the spot and soldered it. Was great didn't have to remove line, saved a lot of time and money. Obviously it was a part of the line that was solid aluminum. Hole was about 1/16 inch. Easy to use, you can watch a you tube video showing how but its pretty simple. plenty left over for several more projects. Definitely worth every penny spent on it. Took me ten minutes to fix instead of hours. wish had found this years ago!!!!!!

      Aluminum soft solder

Did not work very well for me. I followed the instructions. I cleaned the copper before inserting into the aluminum. It flowed well however each time I soldered I would get microscopic pin holes that would not be visible until pressure test with leak detect soap bubbles. I ended up using the entire contents of the package to attempt to get two small joints to be leak free and still did not achieve leak free. I ordered another product to finish the job. Maybe I didn't preheat enough initially or flux enough to get the solder to flow fully to the back of the joint. Either way I'm not thrilled with the performance of the product. If I were to purchase again, which I may, I will definitely make sure everything is very clean and do a thorough preheat and flux. Perhaps aluminum to aluminum would ...

    • Uniweld 4300 no good (sucks)

I am a HVAC/R business owner with over 38 years of experiences. I started off with a pin hole, ended up with a 1/4" hole. Seemed like the flux did not allow solder to flow or adhere. So I cut off copper and aluminum pipe. Tried soldering new copper pipe to a fresh clean cut aluminum, same thing solder just flowing off. I just ruined my daughters A/C Took video sorry have no pix

    • Good but not everyone

It is good but need skill. Very difficult temperature control. I am not recommended every one. I am linces technician.

    • Not very good

Always ended up with a small pin hole somewhere and the flux always burned and inhibited the flux from sticking to aluminum. Even using a pen torch flux would burn almost immediately
