Everything was in the box and worked perfectly. The price was significantly less than the same item available in stores. We have another Hoover stick Vacuum and purchased this one for the basement because we were very satisfied with our first purchase.

But the item description said "New" and the seller was reputable, so I bought it. The box clearly had been opened and then taped shut again, so this vacuum was a return. When I opened the box, the vacuum looked brand-new, but it did not work at all. It was DOA. I contacted the seller, who said I could return it for a refund. However, I am working with Hoover and hope they will resolve the problem
